Conference A44
THE FLAW OF BETRAYAL

Normally, to speak of betrayal, there must be a prior pact that can be betrayed. So, if a pact is not fulfilled, there is betrayal. Therefore, we will start from this basis to study betrayal: a pact or commitment must be violated.
In the physical realm, we recognize betrayal when, for example, a boyfriend tells a girlfriend that he will love her forever, and shortly after, he has lost interest. The boyfriend made a promise, and he broke it, so there is betrayal.
Undoubtedly, there is betrayal when something is falsified or adulterated. For betrayal to occur, something must have been broken: a bond, a tie, a promise, etc. This is one form of betrayal.
When one arrives at Knowledge, and is willing to do the Work, one commits to working regardless of the difficulties; then, one must confront the three enemies of the Christ, which all of us carry within, and which form what we will call: the defect of betrayal.
THE THREE TRAITORS
In profound Inner Work, within the realm of the strictest psychological self-observation, we must directly experience the entire cosmic drama.
The Intimate Christ must eliminate all undesirable elements that we carry within us.
The multiple psychological aggregates in our psychological depths cry out, demanding crucifixion for the Inner Lord.
Undeniably, each one of us carries the Three Traitors within our psyche.
Judas, the demon of desire; Pilate, the demon of the mind; Caiaphas, the demon of ill will.
These Three Traitors crucify the Lord of Perfections in the very depths of our soul. These are three specific types of inhuman elements fundamental to the cosmic drama.
Undoubtedly, the aforementioned drama has always been lived secretly in the depths of the Superlative Consciousness of the Being.
The cosmic drama is not the exclusive property of the Great Kabir Jesus, as the self-proclaimed enlightened ignorant always assume.
The Initiates of all ages, the Masters of all centuries, have had to live the cosmic drama within themselves, here and now.
However, Jesus, the Great Kabir, had the courage to publicly enact such an intimate drama, in the streets and in broad daylight, to open the meaning of initiation to all human beings, without distinction of race, sex, caste, or color.
It is wonderful that there was someone who publicly taught this intimate drama to all peoples of the Earth.
  • The Inner Christ, not being lustful, must eliminate from itself the psychological elements of lust.
  • The Inner Christ, being peace and love itself, must eliminate from itself the undesirable elements of anger.
  • The Inner Christ, not being greedy, must eliminate from itself the undesirable elements of greed.
  • The Inner Christ, not being envious, must eliminate from itself the psychological aggregates of envy.
  • The Inner Christ, being perfect humility, infinite modesty, absolute simplicity, must eliminate from itself the negative elements of pride, vanity, and conceit.
  • The Inner Christ, the Word, the Creative Logos, always living in constant activity, must eliminate within us, in and by itself, the undesirable elements of inertia, laziness, and stagnation.
  • The Lord of Perfection, accustomed to all fasts, temperate, never prone to drunkenness or great banquets, must eliminate from itself the abominable elements of gluttony.
A strange symbiosis of the Christ-Jesus; the Christ-Man; a rare mixture of the divine and the human, of the perfect and the imperfect; always a constant test for the Logos.
The most interesting thing about all this is that the Secret Christ is always a conqueror; someone who constantly overcomes the darkness; someone who eliminates the darkness within themselves, here and now.
The Secret Christ is the lord of the Great Rebellion, rejected by the priests, by the elders, and by the scribes of the temple.
The priests hate him; that is, they don't understand him, they want the Lord of Perfections to live exclusively within time according to their unwavering dogmas.
The elders, meaning the inhabitants of the earth, the conventional and prudent people, those with experience, abhor the Logos, the Red Christ, the Christ of the Great Rebellion, because he departs from the world of their antiquated, reactionary, and fossilized habits and customs.
The temple scribes, the intellectuals who act dishonestly, abhor the Inner Christ because he is the antithesis of the Antichrist, the declared enemy of that accumulation of corrupt university theories so prevalent in the markets of bodies and souls.
The Three Traitors mortally hate the Secret Christ and lead Him to death within ourselves and in our own psychological space.
Judas, the demon of desire, always betrays the Lord for thirty pieces of silver; that is, for liquors, money, fame, vanities, fornications, adulteries, etc.
Pilate, the demon of the mind, always evades his responsibility, always declares himself innocent, is never to blame, constantly justifies himself to himself and to others, seeks pretexts to shirk his own responsibilities, etc.

Caiaphas, the demon of ill will, incessantly betrays the Lord within ourselves; the Adorable Inner Being gives him the staff to shepherd his flock, yet the cynical traitor uses the sacred for profane and hedonistic ends, incessantly fornicating, committing adultery, selling the sacraments, etc.

These Three Traitors secretly make the adorable Intimate Lord suffer without any compassion.

Pilate makes him wear a crown of thorns on his temples; the wicked defects scourge him, insult him, and curse him in the intimate psychological space without any mercy of any kind.

JUDAS
Judas is the Demon of Desire, the Enemy of Nature. He represents all our own desires, temptations, and fascination with the physical world. Let us study this traitor.
Desire is the source of strength, for it is the fire that animates everything. If we surrender to our desires, we will become their slaves; if we deny each of our desires, we will liberate the fire hidden within them. Or we will become masters of that force.

Judas sells the Christ for thirty pieces of silver. This means that our desires sell the Christ (the Fire) in the physical world. When we learn to deny ourselves, or our desires, we begin to take ownership of the force hidden within each desire.

When we do not know how to deny ourselves, we follow each of our desires in daily life.

Learning to combat this traitor is very important if we want to advance in the Great Work; otherwise, we will not begin the Esoteric Work.
The Gospel of Judas says: "Blessed is he who sees in my light, the light of my Master."
When one sees in desire the Fire, the Christ, one rescues it; when one does not see it, one loses it from moment to moment.
Desire is fire, and by dying from moment to moment, we rescue it as Will.
It is said that Judas, or Desire, is the Enemy of Nature because it does not allow any creation within itself. When we begin to deny ourselves, we begin to balance the centers, and the work of spiritual birth will bear fruit; the Creative Energy of the Holy Spirit will crystallize the Superior Existential Bodies of the Being.
This demon is overcome by denying oneself.
PILATE
Pilate is the Demon of the Mind, the Enemy of Wisdom. He represents all our excuses, justifications, evasions, escape routes, etc., through which we continue to be the same.
What does it mean to evade responsibility? Whenever we face any problem, we justify ourselves, we identify with the problem, we don't know how to take advantage of the situation. We always find excuses not to work, not to eliminate our defects.
Let us study this demon of the mind: It always finds excuses, evasions, and justifications to remain the same. The mind is tasked with judging each of our defects, with trying them through reflection, but it fails to do its job; it lives identified with all subjective processes.
If we want to die (to our ego), we must stop justifying ourselves; we must judge ourselves mercilessly, we must not accept evasions, we must become serious with the work (of self-realization).
We must stop feeding the intellect's defects; we must not feed the intellect's defects. We must do away with all concepts to integrate our mind. Let us remember that the best way to think is not to think. With all the intellectualism, the mind degenerated and no longer comprehends.
This demon is called the Enemy of Wisdom because it does not allow one to die within oneself. Wisdom arrives with death; if one does not die, then there will be no wisdom. This demon prevents psychological death, always blaming others, constantly judging them instead of judging our own actions. It finds thousands of justifications to keep us from doing the work of our True Being. It finds all the justifications for us to continue acting from the Ego or personality.
This demon is overcome by not justifying ourselves and by ruthlessly judging ourselves.
CAIAPHAS
Caiaphas is the Demon of Ill Will, the Enemy of Truth. He represents our words, deeds, and omissions, in the realm of actions.
He promises and does not fulfill what he promises; he is indifferent to doing or not doing, and when able, he does not act. He wastes time on idle matters that are of no importance whatsoever.
He doesn't want us to practice anything. He wants to self-actualize without working. Examples:
  • Ill will to establish work disciplines.
  • Ill will to adhere to schedules.
  • Ill will to do the practices.
  • Ill will to wake up for practices.
  • Ill will to investigate.
  • Ill will to verify.
  • Ill will to concentrate.
  • Ill will for meditation.
  • Ill will for retrospections.
  • Ill will for astral projection.
  • Ill will to perform the jump practice.
  • Ill will to do the Dervish practice.
  • Ill will for the Transmutation of Cosmic Forces.
  • Ill will for Fund Transfers.
  • Ill will to negotiate with the Lords of Karma.
  • Ill will to eliminate defects.
  • Ill will for self-observation.
  • Ill will to reflect.
  • Ill will to understand defects.
  • Ill will to ask for death.
  • Ill will to sacrifice ourselves for humanity.
  • Ill will to distribute informational material.
  • Ill will to train ourselves to teach.
  • Ill will to be born.
  • Good will to waste time.
  • Good will for idle conversations.
  • Good will for distraction.
  • Good will to watch television.
  • Good will for parties.
  • Good will for subjective work.
  • Good will to sleep and rest.
  • Good will to fornicate.
  • Good will to indulge desires.
  • Good will to commit adultery, etc., etc.
Let's now look at some betrayals of the Great Work:
  • When we mix the Knowledge with pseudo-esoteric things.
  • When we identify with worldly things and withdraw from the Work.
  • When we abandon the Esoteric Work.
  • When we voluntarily commit fornication.
  • When, possessing Chastity, we betray the Divine Mother by taking another partner.
  • When we do not fulfill our Oath.
  • When we choose the path of Nirvana.
Of the three demons, CAIAPHAS is the worst. He is the Enemy of Truth. If Truth is the Being, let's say he is the enemy of the Being. He is the enemy of Christ; he wants to prevent him at all costs.
This Demon is overcome with Conscious Sacrifices and Voluntary Sufferings.
Let us seek the Three Traitors in each of our daily actions. And let us remember that all Defects are judged by Treason.
