THE DIFFICULT PATH AND THE CHRISTIC WORK

THE DIFFICULT PATH
Undeniably, there exists a dark side of ourselves that we do not know or do not accept; we must bring the light of Consciousness to that shadowy realm within ourselves.
The entire object of our esoteric studies is to make the knowledge of oneself more conscious.
When one has many things within oneself that are neither known nor accepted, then such things horribly complicate our lives and truly provoke all sorts of situations that could be avoided through self-knowledge.
The worst part of all this is that we project that unknown and unconscious side of ourselves onto other people, and then we see it in them.
For example: we see them as if they were liars, unfaithful, petty, etc., in relation to what we carry within ourselves.
The Path says about this matter that we live in a very small part of ourselves. This means that our Consciousness extends only to a very limited part of ourselves.
The idea of Esoteric Work is to clearly broaden our own Consciousness.
Undoubtedly, as long as we are not well-related to ourselves, neither will we be well-related to others, and the result will be conflicts of every kind.
It is indispensable to become much more conscious of oneself, through direct self-observation.
A general Gnostic rule in the Gnostic Esoteric Work is that when we do not understand a particular person, we can be certain that this is the very thing against which we must work on ourselves.
What is so criticized in others is something that resides in one's own shadow, neither known nor acknowledged.
When we are in such a state, our own shadow is vast, but when the light of self-observation illuminates this darkness, Consciousness expands through self-knowledge.
This is the Path of the Razor's Edge, more bitter than gall; many embark upon it, but very few reach the destination.
Just as the Moon has a hidden side that is not seen, an unknown aspect, so too is the case with the Psychological Moon we carry within ourselves.
Evidently, this Psychological Moon is comprised of the Ego, the 'I', the 'Myself', and the 'Self'.
Within this Psychological Moon, we bear inhuman elements that frighten and horrify us, elements we would in no way accept as our own.
Cruel is this path of the INTIMATE SELF-REALIZATION OF THE BEING! How many precipices! What difficult steps! What dreadful labyrinths!....
Sometimes, after many twists and turns, horrifying ascents and extremely dangerous descents, the inner path gets lost in deserts of sand; one knows not where it leads, and not a single ray of light illuminates it.
A path full of dangers within and without; a road of unspeakable mysteries, where only a breath of death blows.
On this inner path, when one believes they are doing very well, in reality, they are doing very poorly.
On this inner path, when one believes they are doing very poorly, it turns out they are moving very well.
On this secret path, there are moments when one no longer even knows what is good or what is bad.
What is normally forbidden, sometimes turns out to be just; such is the inner path....
All moral codes on the inner path become superfluous; a beautiful maxim or a lovely moral precept, at certain moments, can become a very serious obstacle to the Intimate Self-Realization of the Being.
Fortunately, the Inner Christ, from the very depths of our Being, works intensively, suffers, weeps, disintegrating extremely dangerous elements that we carry within us.
The Christ is born as a child in the heart of Man, but as it eliminates the undesirable elements we carry within, it gradually grows until it becomes a complete Man.
THE CHRISTIC WORK
The Inner Christ emerges internally in the Work related to the dissolution of the Psychological Ego.
Obviously, the Inner Christ only manifests at the culminating moment of our intentional efforts and voluntary sufferings.
The advent of the Christic Fire is the most important event of our own life.
The Intimate Christ then takes charge of all our mental, emotional, motor, instinctive, and sexual processes.
Unquestionably, the Intimate Christ is our profound inner Savior.
He, being perfect, would appear imperfect when entering us; being chaste, would appear as if He were not; being just, would appear as if He were not.
This is similar to the different reflections of light. If we wear blue glasses, everything will appear blue to us, and if we wear red ones, we will see all things in that color.
He, though white, when viewed from the outside, each person will see Him through the psychological lens with which they perceive Him; that is why people, seeing Him, do not see Him.
By taking charge of all our psychological processes, the Lord of perfection suffers the unspeakable.
Having become a man among men, he must pass through many trials and endure unspeakable temptations.
Temptation is fire; triumph over temptation is light.
The Initiate must learn to live dangerously; so it is written; this the Alchemists know.
The Initiate must firmly walk the Path of the Razor's Edge; on either side of the difficult path lie frightful abysses.
On the difficult path of Ego dissolution, there are complex ways that have their root precisely in the royal path.
Obviously, from the Path of the Razor's Edge, multiple paths branch off that lead nowhere; some of them lead us to the abyss and to despair.

There exist fascinating paths, of most holy appearance, ineffable; unfortunately, they can only lead us to the submerged involution of the infernal worlds.
In the Work of the dissolution of the Self, we need to surrender ourselves completely to the Inner Christ.
Sometimes problems of difficult solution appear; suddenly the path is lost in inexplicable labyrinths and it is not known where it continues; only absolute obedience to the Inner Christ and to the Father who is in secret can wisely guide us in such cases.
The Path of the Razor's Edge is full of dangers, both within and without.
Conventional morality is of no use; morality is a slave to customs, to the era, to the place.
What was moral in past eras now turns out to be immoral; what was moral in the Middle Ages may now be immoral in modern times. What is moral in one country is immoral in another, etc.
In the Work of Ego dissolution, it sometimes happens that when we think we are progressing very well, it turns out we are progressing very badly.
Changes are indispensable during the esoteric advance, yet reactionary individuals remain bottled up in the past, become petrified in time, and thunder and rage against us as we make profound psychological advancements and radical changes.
People do not tolerate the Initiated One's changes; they want them to remain petrified in many yesterdays.
Any change that the Initiate makes is immediately classified as immoral.
Viewing things from this angle in light of the Christic Work, we can clearly evidence the inefficacy of the various moral codes that have been written in the world.
Unquestionably, the manifest Christ, yet hidden in the heart of the real Man, upon taking charge of our various psychological states, being unknown to people, is in fact qualified as cruel, immoral, and perverse.
It turns out paradoxical that people adore Christ and yet ascribe such horrifying epithets to Him.

Obviously, unconscious and sleeping people only want a historical, anthropomorphic Christ, of statues and unshakeable dogmas, to whom they can easily accommodate all their clumsy and stale moral codes and all their prejudices and conditions.
People can never conceive of the Intimate Christ in the heart of man; the multitudes only worship the Christ statue and that is all.

When one speaks to the multitudes, when one declares to them the raw realism of the Revolutionary Christ, of the Red Christ, of the Rebellious Christ, one immediately receives epithets such as the following: blasphemer, heretic, wicked, profaner, sacrilegious, etc..
Such are the multitudes, always unconscious, always asleep. Now we will understand why the Christ crucified on Golgotha exclaims with all the might of his soul: My Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do!.
Christ, being one in Himself, appears as many; which is why it has been said that He is Perfect Multiple Unity. To him who knows, the word gives power; no one pronounced it, no one will pronounce it, but only he who HAS IT INCARNATED.
To embody it is fundamental in the advanced Work of the pluralized Self.
The Lord of Perfection works within us as we consciously strive in the Work upon ourselves.
The Work that the Intimate Christ must carry out within our own psyche is frightfully painful.

In truth, our Inner Master must live His entire via-crucis in the very depths of our own soul.
It is written: Praying to God and with the hammer striking. It is also written: Help yourself, and I will help you.
Imploring the Divine Mother Kundalini is fundamental when it comes to dissolving undesirable psychic aggregates; however, the Inner Christ, in the deepest recesses of the ego, wisely operates in accordance with the responsibilities He takes upon His shoulders.
